SHMS Performing Arts Boosters – Meeting Summary (Sept 11, 2025)

  • Treasurer’s Report

    • Reviewed current balance and recent income.
    • Discussed preferred payment platforms; leaning toward Zeffy (district-wide standard) and keeping Zelle. Venmo may be phased out.
    • Donation page will note that tips are optional; donor recognition levels clarified.
  • Fundraising

    • Recycling cans: collection bins to be placed in cafeteria and teacher’s lounge. Volunteer sign-ups coordinated by Kendra.

    • Premiere concerts:

    • Nov. 10 (7th choir): cookies

    • Nov. 11 (Veterans Day choir): flowers (+ Dairy Queen fundraiser)

    • Nov. 12 (band): cookies

    • Nov. 13 (orchestra): cookies

    • Approval needed with other boosters.

    • Half-day pizza sales: first event targeted for Oct. 8; four dates planned for year. Strategy includes early “Save the Date” notices and staggered reminders.

    • Dairy Queen nights: kickoff Nov. 11 (Veterans Day choir).

  • Website Updates

    • Donations section: awards will occur (no banquets); donor list will be maintained; exploring paid dedications for spring concerts.
    • Booster info section: add mailing list sign-up, meeting dates, and curriculum info; encourage teachers to include website link in email signatures.
    • Logos: ensure consistent branding on flyers and website.
    • Volunteer sign-ups: central site for Sign-Up Genius links proposed.
  • Other Business

    • T-shirt ordering to be added to site.
